In summary, I believe my 23 years in the UBC has prepared me well for a Superintendent position. I spent my career learning and performing in fields from wood\steel framing to scaffolding, bridge building and finish work. I care deeply about safety and quality and believe that the best way to achieve them is through understanding people and their unique and important skills and strengths.
Construction is a field that needs good leadership, and I believe that the best leadership originates in humility and collaboration. As a foreman these are important principles for me and they have served me well, I also apply these principles to being a good rank and file worker. As a superintendent I will be both and will keep these in mind as well as responsibility and responsiveness.
