Lumber purchasing, inventory and tracking:
· Work closely with production teams on lumber needs
· Schedule and coordinate in-bound lumber deliveries in coordination with the production managers
· Track all inbound lumber receipts
· Track bd ft purchased and used and monthly reporting
· Analyze purchase price and trends
· Build out lumber competency for the company
· Compare vendor quality and pricing
· Key Metrics
· Cost per bd feet of purchases
· Inventory levels (not too high or too low)
Trucking & Trailer DOT Compliance:
Coordinate all DOT inspections and repairs of the truck/trailer fleet
· When needed, coordinate service and repairs of the fleet with selected vendors
· Go-to person in the company for all DOT and FMCSA trucking regulations and compliance
