Summary

I have worked at Altru's Family Birthing Center since the year 2000. I started as a Certified OB Tech with my surgical technician degree. Since the year 2000, I have been NRP/BLS trained. 2014 I went back to school to obtain my LPN, was a postpartum nurse while attending school to get my RN, and finished school in 2005. Because I was a Labor and Delivery Nurse, Cesarean Section Nurse, I performed the Cesarean Section. I served as a mentor for mother-baby and labor and delivery from 2007 to the present. In 2009, I started working as a charge nurse. In 2013, I took on the Patient Care Coordinator role and am still currently in that role. When I took on that position, I was the mentor Coordinator as well. I have been teaching BLS since 2014. My Healing Touch certification was issued to me in 2016. I began conducting Birth Planning sessions for the Family Birthing Center in 2017.
