As an ECT currently undertaking my ECF at The British School of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, I have a keen interest in gaining more experience in international school settings. My desire and passion for literature combined with travel arose as a child when I would become transfixed in the worlds that writers created, namely ‘The Famous Five’ and ‘The Secret Seven’. This ignited my passion for adventure combined with an appreciation for literature that would lead me to pursue an English degree at Sheffield Hallam University. My desire to teach originated with an intent to share my passion for the literature arts as well as a love for linguistics. Since working in Mongolia, my passion for the subject has grown profoundly, particularly with EAL students who it fills me with a tremendous sense of pride and achievement when they begin to understand and engage with English.
