Work History

Shocks and Belts Manufacturing Team Lead

3M
10.2021 - Current
  • Delegating which teams we to run based off the dispatch report and who I have available and what their skill sets are.
  • Working with manufacturing teams as well as support groups and other resources such as maintenance, training leads, engineers, buyer planners, and managers to help, prioritize safety, improve ergonomics, and increase output volume.
  • Changing/adding documentation to eliminate “tribal knowledge”. I have worked with engineers and training leads on either creating Dozuki guides for uncommon/rare SKU’s or going to an engineer when knowledge is presented from another inspector that doesn’t align with the blueprint.
  • Creating a positive work environment where employees can come to me with any questions or concerns, and know that if I don’t have the answer, I will set out to find it.
  • I make sure the teams have what they need to succeed. Ie. Hardware, instructions, thread, work orders, training etc.
  • If the web cutters are out of web, I coordinate with the material handlers to see how many current requests they have and get materials myself if need be.
  • I’m always on the lookout for ways to improve safety in the plant as well as consistently enforcing all safety policies with employees.
  • Participated in Kaizen events that focused on a more efficient output and reducing time employees spend away from their machine/team.

Shocks Assembly Inspector

Capital Safety/3M
03.2011 - 10.2021
  • As an inspector I evenly divided tasks among the team to ensure the product gets out not only efficiently but is also of a high quality.
  • Help the other shocks inspectors on decision making whether it be delegating workload, quality of the product, or which product to assemble next.
  • There was no Team Lead for Shocks on second shift at the time, so I coordinated with and helped the first shift Team lead and helped with tasks that align with the Team Lead role. I made sure that all the correct orders were in the teams “work in progress” areas, teams were doing orders in the correct sequence while monitoring our stocking levels and answered any questions that arose from our teams.

Customer Service & Trainer

WalMart
05.2010 - 03.2011
  • Helped dissatisfied customers with a prompt and friendly manner.
  • Trained new employees at both the registers and the customer service desk.

Crew Trainer

Culver’s
07.2007 - 05.2010
  • Trained new employees to any front-end position including the manager position.
  • On busy nights food and desserts delivered as efficiently as possible including delegating workload to areas that weren’t as busy at the time.
  • Would often fill the position as the manager of the front end further delegating the workload as evenly as was possible.
