Cheri Warmka

I am an instructional leader with experience in curriculum development, implementation, and professional development delivery. I have supported district-level initiatives, such as curriculum adoption, standards alignment, common assessment development, and the implementation of The Catalyst Approach. I have trained colleagues in multiple curricula (FOSS, McGraw-Hill Science, Everyday Math) and the ELLevation Platform. As a coach I have built trusting relationships with colleagues, facilitated their professional growth, and helped them improve their instructional practices. My combination of classroom experience, mentoring skills, and leadership experience makes me an outstanding candidate for the Learning Coach position.

• Worked for Pearson to develop MCA test items aligned with MN state standards
• Served on District Science Committee and led teacher in-service to facilitate the implementation of the McGraw-Hill Science curriculum, including alignment with MN State Standards and development of common assessments
• Trained as a math mentor in Everyday Math, and helped colleagues implement new curriculum
• Presented at an MSTA conference at the Science Museum of Minnesota called, “Teaching Science through Literature and the Arts”
• Served on curriculum adoption and District Science Committee to choose and implement FOSS science curriculum
