I earned my Certificate of commendation by performing my duty's while serving as help desk non-commissioned officer. I was holding a higher billet then my actual rank, with that my senior staff entrusted me with a leadership role. From February 2025 to March 2025, I led my team in a highly professional manner, displaying technical proficiency and endurance by manning the help desk for joint task force exercise ( JTFEX ). During the Exercise my team and I updated, validated, maintained and accounted for 335 Secret and NATO Secret assets, 167 Voice over ip ( VOIP) phones, and 12 printers. Resolving more than 500 trouble calls, my team and I validated user accounts, installed necessary drivers and applications into workstations, and fabricated more than 400 CAT5 cables in order to not only power VOIP phones, but to provide redundancy lines of communication to workstations. Under my leadership, the help desk also seamlessly reacted to and applied corrective action to appropriately manage the JTFEX local area network (LAN) following last minute layout adjustments. this required remeasuring, re-patching, and a complete overhaul of the previous cable management. I re-patched and organized all 300 cables in the server room in less then 12 hours successfully getting the network back up before users showed up to the building.
