Awards and Professional memberships:

1. Joe E. Salsbury Veterinary Medicine scholarship (2025-2026)

Criteria: For students with financial need who exhibit superior academics, initiative, perseverance, and potential for leadership.


2. Class of 1986 Steve Ramsdell Memorial scholarship (2025-2026)

Criteria: It is awarded to a student in their third year of veterinary school with a positive mental attitude toward life and people, and strong interests outside of veterinary school. Students selected for this scholarship are well-liked by classmates and faculty and are widely considered to be all-around nice people.

This scholarship cannot be applied for, and the recipient is instead chosen by classmates


3. VETgirl DEI scholarship (2025-2026)

Criteria: The recipient will have demonstrated financial need, with preference given to a Black student or underrepresented minority, or a student who enhances the diversity, equity, and inclusion of the college.


4. Class of 1997 Greg Gramer Memorial Scholarship (2024-2025)

Criteria: Awarded to a student most exemplifying the true spirit of camaraderie and fellowship, bringing the class together socially and academically, being loyal, honest, caring, trustworthy, humble, and having a great sense of humor. These personal qualities are not only evident in the classroom, but also in the clinical setting where he/she is kind and compassionate to both clients and patients.

5. Dr. Dick & Dr. Delores Olson Scholarship (2024-2025)

Criteria: This award is intents to benefit a deserving veterinary student supporting their family and who is a MN resident.


6. Dana E. Mangi Memorial Fund scholarship (2023-2024)

Criteria: Awarded to support first year student who embody the following qualities: Warm personality and a passion for helping animals as well s their owners.

This scholarship cannot be applied for, and the recipient is instead chosen by classmates
