As the general manager at a small family owned business the duties change on a day-to-day basis. Front of the house operations include opening and closing procedures, customer relations/conflict resolution and meeting with sales representatives and venders. Back of the house operations involve quality control and presentation of the menu, streamlining workflow for the kitchen staff, product inventory and ordering and facilitating the maintenance and repair of equipment. Administrative duties include creating design and copy for implementation of advertising and marketing, scheduling employee shifts, filing for food/business permits, licenses and certifications and daily, monthly and quarterly accounting totals for submission to City/County/State/Federal agencies.
Served as the initial point of contact for customers in store and over the phone. Provided general information about the business, our products and promotions. Was required to have a good working knowledge of numerous electronic products, pricing and installation procedures. Assisted customers with system budget, design and the scheduling of appointments. Helped troubleshoot customer electronics issues and minor repair, occasionally aiding in the installation of home and vehicle electronics.
