Hi! Now that the formal details are out of the way, I’d love to share a bit more about who I am. My name is Emma, and after spending the past five years working in the restaurant industry, I’m excited to transition back into what I truly love — working closely with families and children. With Crooked Pint closing this April, it feels like the perfect time to find my next long-term nanny family.
I’ve been fortunate to build a lasting relationship with the family I previously nannied for, and I still remain actively involved in the children’s lives. That experience confirmed for me how meaningful it is to become a trusted, supportive presence for a family, and I’m hoping to find that kind of connection again.
I’m a very active and outgoing person who loves getting kids outside and engaged — whether that’s walks, park trips, picnics, or simply exploring the outdoors. I bring a warm, energetic personality and genuinely enjoy forming connections with the children and families I work with.
As a senior studying social work & family studies, I’m currently completing an internship with an adoption and foster care agency (CHLSS). Through this role, I’ve gained valuable experience in trauma-informed care, child development, and supporting children with diverse needs. I’ve also had the opportunity to volunteer at several family-focused events, including day camps, our Fantasy Flight to the North Pole with Delta, and weekend family retreats.
At my core, I’m someone who leads with kindness, reliability, and empathy. I value strong relationships, open communication, and creating spaces where people feel safe and supported. I’m the kind of person who shows up consistently, keeps a calm head when things get busy, and brings a positive attitude to each day. I love building routines that help children feel secure while also making space for fun, creativity, and laughter. My goal is always to be someone both parents and children can trust and feel comfortable with.
Outside of work, I’m a very active and family-oriented person. I love going to CorePower, taking walks, and spending time outdoors whenever I can. I also enjoy simple things like getting coffee with friends, having family dinners with my parents, and spending summer days at the lake. These parts of my life keep me grounded, and they’re also what shape the kind of caregiver I am — someone who values connection, routine, and making everyday moments meaningful.
