Conducting crisis assessments to patients with varying mental health conditions. Risk assessment of harmful ideations, psychosis, mania, substance abuse, neurological symptoms, etc for those who are at risk of harm to themselves and/or others. Ongoing consultation with multidisciplinary team members for patient least restrictive treatment planning. Close collaboration with emergency psychiatry coordinating petitions for civil commitment and disposition recommendations. Experienced in assessing co-occurring and duel diagnosis disorders.

Ongoing targeted assessment with providing appropriate intervention and referrals to treatment services for children undergoing mental health crises is implemented on long-term basis. Preparation of targeted case management plans are carried out and assessed monthly. Collaboration and coordination with mental health multidisciplinary team members is implemented to ensure effectiveness, appropriateness, and accountability of treatment plans. Mental health stabilization and independent self-sufficiency for children and families is the continuous goal sought. Sensitivity of utilizing a multicultural lens with formation of ongoing multicultural assessments is mindfully applied when working with diverse children and families.

Provided physical and emotional support to patients during medical procedures. Implemented pregnancy options counseling for ambivalent patients, deescalation services, offered resources, along with creations of safety planning for patients affected by domestic violence. Participation with advocacy of reproductive rights on a macro level.

Provided intensive case management services to long-term homeless adults and families. Assisted individuals and families with locating and stabilizing their housing. Oversaw and managed the housing location department for a housing support agency. As a Housing Case Manager, maintained a caseload of 22 individual adults affected by long-term homelessness and disability. Consistent advocation for clients’ tenant rights and communications with landlords.

Counseled at-risk youth and families in crisis. Provided group, one-on-one counseling, and case management services to homeless youth. Implemented youth and family advocation with the goal of enhancing youth and their families’ relationships, living environments, and reunification. Mindfulness of cultural competency with utilization of multicultural assessments is prioritized with continuous case consultation with a diverse multidisciplinary team to best support the youth and their families’ reunification.
