I have spent the majority of my working and volunteer life in the faith-based and nonprofit positions. I have been trained as a BeFriender Minister through the University of St. Thomas. I have attended many seminars, workshops and training through the ELCA.
Recruit, train and schedule volunteers for home construction and to staff the ReStore - thrift store for building supplies. I coordinate over 100 volunteers in various areas of the housing ministry - construction, salvages, and staffing the thrift store. I have been able to increase the number of volunteers and create a scheduling system that allows for changes and updates to their schedules, to ensure all areas are staffed.

I was awarded the 2024 Alaska Hunger Hero Award for the sustaining programs that have met the needs of our community.
