I typically start my day early and drop the two kids off at their sports and/or summer school. I would then go back to the house and clean, do dishes, and walk the dog. I would pick up the kids when they were done and we would find fun, outdoor activities to do together. I would make them lunch, clean the kitchen, and maybe go for another walk or bike ride with the kids. I head out sometime in the afternoon. I usually nanny four days a week (Monday-Thursday).
I was a food runner, host, busser, and eventually a server. As a food runner, I would run the line and organize the food that goes to each table in the restaurant. I would usually work as a food runner most of the shifts and work weekdays and weekends. I would work 4:30 to close most shifts. As a host, I would be at the front of the restaurant and work the waitlist and seat people that would come in. I usually did not work as a host, but it was still something that I knew how to do. Lastly, I was also a busser which would turn tables quickly. When a group was done eating and left the restaurant, I would go to that table and clean it so that another party or group could sit. Once I finally turned 18, I was able to start my server training. I learned a lot of new skills from my coworkers and from the experience of just being a server. I served for a year at Clive's Roadhouse in Rogers.
Some of my interests include fitness and wellness, traveling and trying new things. I love the way I feel after any physical activity I do and it is something that continues to keep me continuing to work on my physical fitness. I love to walk, run, lift, and bike. Since being a soccer player, I have learned to enjoy running. I ran cross country for two years in middle school and loved it. I loved the way my body would feel after a long and productive run. Now, being in college, and playing college soccer, I have grown to love recovery more than anything. Since trainings are hard on my body, I don't find myself having time to run longer distances. However, I have really grown to love walking. It is a great way for my body to recover while also keep moving. I also love to travel. I do not get to a lot right now, but a goal I have for myself is after graduating college, I want to travel to places that I have never been before. That brings me to my last interest and that is trying new things. I love trying new things because I have learned that I really enjoy things I never thought I would enjoy. I am very open to trying new activities, places to travel and food. I have even discovered food that I never in my life would have thought I would ever like to eat.
