My career goal is to work as a Neuropsychologist with underserved populations and children. I will be graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, and am planning to pursue a Graduate degree in Clinical Science and Psychopathology. I am interested in researching mental health treatment options based on culture specific practices in minimally researched communities, such as Indigenous and Eastern cultures, with the goal to increase the effectiveness of culturally specific treatment options. Additionally, I have interest in child development research, specifically in early diagnosis and treatment options for youth and early childhood.
Have traveled to Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, England, Scotland, Canada, and Iceland. Additionally, I recently attended a global seminar program in South Africa this winter on the topic of Youth Protest and Promise. I spent time in several township schools spending time with K-8 aged native South African students, while learning about social work in the area, recent social justice movements lead by youth, and about culture in South Africa post the fall of Apartheid.
