Work History

Treatment Director

NUWAY Alliance
03.2026 - Current
  • In my current role I was recently moved to another site within the organization to improve the work culture, client experience and overall environment at a 3.1 men’s residential treatment program. Since my arrival, I have maintained full census, hired new clinical staff as well as cd tech staff to bring this site to being fully staffed. I have also looked for methods to provide clients with more EBP such as DBT Skills groups and Trauma Skills groups. In just short of 60 days, I have achieved a total turnaround at this site and currently have the highest number of clients completing successfully of all our Minneapolis sites. I continue to manage client crisis and ensure they are receiving the proper services regarding their mental health. I have also started to explore methods to improve our budget without cutting any programs or services to our clients.

Program Manager

NUWAY Alliance/Cochran Recovery Services
07.2024 - 03.2026
  • In my previous role, I oversaw program operations for our men’s 3.1 and 3.5 residential program. I supervise twelve counselors holding LADC and LPCC licenses and work with the staff to ensure we have a safe and healthy environment for the clients we serve. I also from time to time participate in crisis management for various mental health disorders including clients who are intoxicated or in active psychosis. I track and monitor the counselors’ progress as well as their documentation and work with them to solve challenging situations with clients. I facilitate two lectures per week for 104 clients, and I also have an open-door policy with the clients here. I meet weekly with peer leaders to hear any concerns or suggestions they have in order to make the program the best it can be. I also advocate for client needs and success with their outside collaterals and help them to secure their next steps once they leave residential treatment.

LICENSED ALCOHOL AND DRUG COUNSELOR

NUWAY Alliance/Cochran Recovery
10.2024 - 07.2024
  • In my previous role, I facilitated small groups that address co-occurring disorders. I also ran a Trauma Skills group and men’s shame group to help clients manage symptoms of PTSD and to help them heal from shame. I also host two lectures per week for 104 clients. As a caseload carrying counselor, I maintain accurate and timely documentation and participate in case management as well as client advocacy.
