Summary
To summarize, I have many skills and traits that I pride myself in. However, one subject that I would like to highlight here is the fact that I have never caused an accident or gotten into any safety concerns while working on the road or using heavy duty materials or equipment at the shop.
I have never gotten pulled over while driving a company truck. I always stay alert and aware of my surroundings as keeping myself and my team members safe is my most important task.
Safety out in the field is always rule number one, and I pride myself in staying focused and alert at all times on the road. Recklessness is something that I take very seriously especially out on the highway.

Highway Maintenance Worker

- I assembled safety signs that were assigned to me by the shop manager for construction jobs. Often times I have to decipher a plan or code to make everything according to spec.
- I worked with different crews on fixing and maintaining roads and bridges throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Iowa. Some days I worked alone or with a single partner, while other days I worked with team of ten to twenty people.
- I had to collaborate with senior staff members from all sorts of different contractors including PCI, Ames, Landwehr, and Northland out on the road to ensure that materials are up to code and provide a safe work environment from workers in construction zones.
- I direct four way stops to control traffic and allow work trucks into work zones while allowing motorists to travel as efficiently as possible.
- I often have to work with concrete as well as locating under ground cables beneath the soil in ditches in order to install permanent and temporary traffic materials. I have to pay close attention to every little detail and listen carefully to instructions in order to ensure that everything is set up properly to avoid anting happening on the job site.
