· Recommended arrangement of machines within plant facilities for maximum productivity.
· Worked directly with various types of fabrication equipment and gained an understanding of overall manufacturing operations.
· Applied analytical skills and scientific technical principles in problem-solving and development.
· Integrated statistics into process improvement projects and supported total productive maintenance in production.
· Tracked industrial trends in relevant applications and technologies, manufacturing practices, and engineering tools.
· Quote incoming opportunities for cost, risk, and strategic outlook.
· Provide sales with information pertinent to the project such as sell price, lead time, long lead time components, and manufacturing plan when required.
· Coordinate manufacturing reviews with customers at the time of quote to develop a manufacturing strategy/plan and subsequently, quote the project accordingly.
· Perform timely Contract Reviews upon receipt of purchase order:
· To include a precursory review of drawings, specifications, and other related documents thorough enough to competently complete the Contract Review Form for which Application/Process Engineers are responsible.
· Determine if any special materials, processes, and/or testing are required, including long lead‐time raw materials or fabrications, rolling, machining, coating, plating, hardware, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic assemblies.
· Flow information that is contrary, contradictory, or earlier unseen, could prove to be detrimental to the project to Sales.
· Coordinate Engineering activities in the assigned team are being carried out effectively and managed to release dates as specified on engineering dispatch; either by directly performing, or delegating to Drafting Technician, Engineering Assistant, or others within a team:
· Shop drawing creation, along with CAD geometry for shop floor CNC Programming
· Coordinate overall schedule to meet customers’ needs for Cost, Quality, and Delivery
· Ensure drawings are created with manufacturability in mind – ‘Design for Manufacturability.’
· Ensure drawings are checked for common errors, and correct raw materials are utilized.
· Utilize ERP system to create routings and review job performance through:
· Work Instructions, Fixturing, Shop support, closed Job reports.
· Positive and effective Shop Floor interaction
· Review production status through daily walk-throughs
· Conduct effective Kick‐Off and Pre‐Production meetings, document, and incorporate information into valuable drawings and work instructions.
· Resolve in‐depth drawing and specification questions from fabricators, machinists, welders, painters, and outside vendors.
