Responsible for oversight of routing and siting, supporting obtaining Certificate of Need and authorization from the Public Utilities Commission.
• PIC, Buffalo Ridge Rightsizing Project, Energy Client, MN, SD, Supporting approximately 65 miles of a combination of rebuild of 115kV to double circuit 345kV/115kV and new 345kV transmission lines across southern Minnesota and South Dakota. Responsible for oversight of routing and siting, supporting obtaining Certificate of Need and authorization from the Public Utilities Commissions, and initiating agency consultations for federal, state, and local permitting.
• PIC, Inver Grove to Inver Hills 115kV Line Rebuild, Energy Client, MN, Supporting 2 miles of removal of single circuit 115kV transmission line and replacement with 2 miles of double circuit 115kV transmission line between two existing substations, with approximate 6-acre expansion of one of the associated substations. Responsible for oversight for obtaining authorization from the Public Utilities Commission, wetland delineation, tree survey and reporting, biological field surveys, threatened and endangered species evaluation and survey, and federal, state, and local environmental and building permitting.
• PIC, Rosemount 115kV Transmission, Energy Client, MN, Supported 4.9 miles of new 115kV single circuit transmission line and substation. Responsible for oversight for obtaining authorization from the Public Utilities Commission, land easement acquisition, cultural resource surveys and SHPO consultation, wetland delineation, threatened and endangered species evaluation and survey, and federal, state, and local environmental and building permitting.
• PIC, 0892-0893 115kV Rebuild Transmission, Energy Client, MN, Supported the rebuild and separation of 3.4 miles of 115kV lines. Responsible for oversight for obtaining authorization from the Public Utilities Commission, land easement acquisition, cultural resource surveys and SHPO consultation, wetland delineation with state and USACE consultation, threatened and endangered species evaluation and survey, and federal, state, and local environmental and building permitting.
• PIC; Capital and Operations and Maintenance; Oil & Gas (Midstream and Downstream), AR, IN, LA, MN, MS, OH, OK, and TX, Supported capital natural gas pipeline installation and various maintenance projects. Responsible for oversight of environmental permitting and tracking progress for more than 5,000 natural gas distribution projects over 17-year relationship. Tasks included assessing projects for environmental regulatory triggers: preparation of applicable agency consultations and permits including but not limited to COE Section 404 and Section 10 permits, Coastal Zone permits, floodplain permits, local permits, construction stormwater permits, and SWPPPs. Additional tasks include maintenance of client’s program guidance documents, direct interaction with and providing environmental training for project designers and contractors.
• PIC; Operations and Maintenance; Oil & Gas (Midstream) Client, OH, VA, WV, and KY, Supported environmental evaluation and permitting for various natural gas operations and maintenance projects along multiple existing pipelines and associated facilities. Provided oversight of program management, including federal, state, and local permitting, cultural resource reviews and surveys, biological reviews and surveys, and agency consultations. Program included ongoing tracking and client meetings apprising teams of status of reviews and permitting timelines.
