• Electronic fetal monitoring of singleton and multiple gestation.
• Provide obstetrical nursing care to high risk antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum women (gestational diabetes; pre-eclampsia; eclampsia; premature labor; premature rupture of membranes; placenta previa; cervical incompetence; multiple gestation.)
• Provide obstetrical nursing care, teaching, and education to low and high risk postpartum women.
• Sound, ethical and independent decision-making ability consistent with medical protocols.

• Utilize multiple types of resources to care for non-English speaking patients.

• Care for both high risk and low risk maternity patients with various acute and chronic medical diagnoses.
• Care for late preterm and term newborns.
• Responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient populations.
• Utilizing and documenting activities in EPIC electronic medical record system.

• Provide quality and compassionate family centered patient care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a culturally diverse, busy, and limited resource environment.
• Perform preoperative and post operative care to women before and after gynecologic surgeries.
• Perform charge nurse duties including staffing, admissions, unit checks, and more in addition to routine floor nurse duties.
• Floating to NICU, pediatrics and Labor and Delivery when staffing grid indicates.
