I’m a motivated high school senior with a strong passion for sports, leadership, and community service. I’ve gained valuable experience as a volleyball coach assistant and through my work with my family’s nonprofit, Blair’s Tree of Hope, which supports children facing pediatric cancer. I’ve also developed my entrepreneurial skills by starting a pet-sitting business with my parents. Outside of work, I stay active in club and high school volleyball, as well as club and high school track, and I plan to continue these sports in college. I’m organized, a strong communicator, and driven by a desire to make a positive impact on others.
With the help of my parents, I started my own pet-sitting business where I take care of pets while their owners are away. My job is to make sure they’re comfortable and happy while their owners are gone. Managing the business has helped me improve my organizational and communication skills as I handle schedules, client requests, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
This experience has also taught me a lot about responsibility and customer service. My parents have been a great support, and together, we’ve built trust with our clients by providing dependable care and making sure pets are treated like family. Through this business, I’ve learned how to juggle multiple tasks, keep track of appointments, and handle the financial side of things—all while making sure every pet is well taken care of.
I have been actively involved in volunteering with Blair’s Tree of Hope, a family-run nonprofit that was started by my grandparents in honor of my Aunt Bebop, who battled pediatric cancer. The organization is dedicated to supporting children and families who are facing similar challenges. Since I was young, I have helped with organizing fundraising events, coordinating activities for the children and there families, I have served a food at the hospital and made lots of care bags. I’ve helped ensure the success of our initiatives, all while fostering a positive and compassionate environment for those we serve.
Being a part of Blair’s Tree of Hope has been a truly rewarding experience, and it has taught me many valuable skills. I’ve developed a sense of empathy and a greater understanding of the importance of supporting families in times of need. Volunteering has also allowed me to improve my organizational and leadership skills, as well as learn how to collaborate with others. This organization has not only shaped my character but has inspired me to continue giving back to the community, especially in ways that support those facing the hardest battles.
