Instructed students with a wide variety of different abilities, including developmental delay, developmental cognitive delay, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, emotional behavior disabilities, visual impairment, hearing impairment, other health disabilities, and severe multiple impairments.
Cultivated strong and meaningful student and family connections to provide positive school experiences.
Created and managed IEPs to define student learning objectives and educational strategies, in addition to applying instructional knowledge and methods to support goals.
Helped students with special needs integrate into general classroom environments by advocating for individual needs and providing staff with strategies to create an appropriate and inclusive classroom.
Worked as part of a collaborative team with general education staff, service providers, special education support staff, and administrations to monitor student performance to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional strategies.
Coordinated regular meetings to share and analyze student performance data and provide support and knowledge of successful strategies to special education support staff.
Have been part of many different committees to improve student engagement, including leadership, social-emotional learning, and assistive technology.
