Luke Malamisuro

I currently work at H&H and have all of the same tasks as I did at Straightline. I have been able to build more confidence in the work that I do and would consider myself one of their strongest and most efficient laborers.

I have also been able to gain more experience in using heavy machinery.

Another thing this job has taught me is how to adapt to working with different types of personalities - at the end of the day no matter who you work with we are trusted to do the job and do it well.

I worked for Straightline for 2 summers.

I was a laborer and my job included laying sod, building retaining walls, laying paver patios, and laying irrigation. I also started learning how to use and operate the machinery used at the job sites. This job taught me how to work efficiently and effectively due to the timing deadlines.

I created strong relationships with my employer and the group of men I worked with which ensured a healthy and enjoyable work environment for all of us.

This job showed me the importance of how great leadership pays off on those that work for you. My boss really emphasized on teamwork and regardless of what role you played on that team, you had value. It made doing hard work feel worthwhile.

I worked here for my friends dad my freshman summer of college.

My basic job description was doing the behind the scenes work to make sure that the actual tilers were set up correctly to make their job more efficient. My tasks included stocking the job sites (bathrooms/kitchens) with the equipment, waterproofing the tile, and cleaning up the job sites.

This job experience was short due to going back to college in the fall but gave me the basic skills of understanding the importance of communication between myself and my coworkers.
