An adult psychiatric, inpatient unit, as a nursing assistant. For example, people experiencing mania, psychosis, depressive episodes, and various other mental health conditions. I assist with direct patient care needs such as meal distribution, monitoring vitals, supplying necessities, interaction in a group and individual setting, etc. I am trained and certified in BLS, CPR, and AED, as well.
I previously worked with a newborn, overnight, for a single mother. My responsibilities included bedtime preparation, diaper changes, bottle feedings, light cleaning, and any other disruptions throughout the night or early morning. I occasionally worked additional hours, if need be.
I had worked as a daycare float staff, assisting with children six weeks to six years of age. Most frequently with preschool aged children, but spent a great deal with infants, also.
