I started with the reception team where my duties included:

  • Scheduling appointments for patients based on their needs with their provider, using eClinical Works.
  • Ensure accuracy with patient chart data, in a high-paced/high call volume atmosphere.
  • Check-in patients at the front desk using eClinical Works.
  • Ensure the patient's chart is up to date with demographic information, insurance, and required forms.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work as a team to get patients checked in , in a timely manner and clean items, high-traffic areas, and surfaces, multiple times per day to minimize the spread of disease.

During my time with the reception team, I exceeded expectations by learning quickly, taking on additional tasks outside of my normal reception duties, and working extra hours during frequent staffing shortages.

I moved into a supervisor role within 10 months of the initial hire date. My duties as a supervisor included, but were not limited to:

  • Overseeing and scheduling front desk and medical records staff.
  • Training new front desk staff.
  • Covering front desk and patient scheduling as needed.
  • Printing memos, schedules, and other pertinent documents for clinical staff.
  • Ordering and delivering meals to providers.
  • Toner Inventory, and supply ordering.
  • Assisting with interviews for the front desk and medical records staff.
  • Composing and delivering annual performance reviews, as well as Verbal/Written Warnings and corrective actions when needed.
  • Handling and neutralizing difficult situations with upset patients and/or staff when needed.
