• During my stay in Seville, Spain, my study abroad program allowed me to volunteer at Colegio San Miguel, a religious elementary school located in one of the nearby neighborhoods. I taught English to 5-year-old kids, with activities involving U.S. culture and basic grammar. Due to the student's age and because English was not a first language for students, I modified my teaching using language techniques like bilingualism and media resources.
• As an after-school Spanish assistant at Hidden River Middle School, I supported students in developing their language skills through interactive activities such as singing, playing, and making art. I also provided one-on-one tutoring and small group discussions. I worked closely with teachers to reinforce classroom lessons and provide additional practice in speaking,reading, and writing. Additionally, I incorporated cultural elements into activities to foster a deeper appreciation of Hispanic and Latin American traditions.
