Molly Westling

I worked at Laker Care in the HLWW district for 2 summers and subbed for the lead teacher for 2 weeks. I worked with School Age kids and Preschoolers. I provided them with fun activities such as scavenger hunts, outside games, just dance videos etc. I mainly spent my time playing with whatever group of kids I was working with that day. I also spent a lot of time de escalating rough situations with some kids, and helping them learn how to regulate their emotions.

I worked in the Middle School for 3 years, I worked with students with autism, behavioral disorders and general learning disabilities. I helped provide my students with a safe learning environment and helped them with specific needs. I removed my students from the classroom if they needed a brain break, or if I could tell they were about to have a behavior. I also took my students to a quieter work environment if I noticed they were having a hard time focusing.
