• Integrated Education Programming & Implementation: Planned and oversaw Basic Education (BE) and Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) interventions with partner NGOs, supporting children, teachers, caregivers, and community learning centers (CLCs) through holistic, protection-sensitive education services.
• Capacity Building & Teacher Professional Development: Led contextualized training and coaching for NGO staff, community teachers, and education leaders; developed professional development resources (literacy, numeracy, SEL, blended learning, classroom management) and led the capacity-building plan for the Federation of African Teachers in Egypt (FATE).
• Technical Leadership & Quality Assurance: Adapted SCI education models to refugee and Egyptian contexts; provided hands-on technical support, supervised consultants, supported learning space improvements, remedial programs, and social cohesion activities, and conducted field monitoring to ensure quality and timely results.
• Coordination, Reporting & Knowledge Management: Represented SCI Egypt in the Education Working Group (EWG); contributed to task forces, shared project updates, documented lessons learned, and reviewed donor reports in close coordination with MEAL teams to strengthen evidence-based programming.

Main areas of responsibilities:

• Program Leadership & Capacity Building: Developed and led capacity-building plans for Community Learning Centres (CLCs) to deliver Accelerated Learning Programs (ALP) and language classes, strengthening local education delivery for vulnerable children and adolescents.
• Multi-Sectoral & Child-Centered Programming: Coordinated with Education and MHPSS teams to design and implement integrated, short- and long-term plans addressing the specific needs of separated and unaccompanied children, including program classification and tailored education pathways.
• Quality Assurance & Learning Outcomes: Oversaw education mitigation programs (catch-up, literacy, numeracy, and language skills), conducted regular field monitoring visits, and ensured measurable improvements in learning outcomes for targeted children by project end.
• Partnerships, Grants & External Coordination: Coordinated with external partners to secure education grants and complementary services for unaccompanied and separated children, and supported the project manager in building strong relationships with donors, government authorities, and other stakeholders.

• Program Management & Planning: Developed monthly plans and managed SCI education activities across Child-Centered Service Centres (CCSC), ECCD, Community Learning Centres (CLCs), and supported public schools serving African refugee children.
• Technical Leadership & Team Support: Provided ongoing technical guidance and supervision to a multidisciplinary team of 7 SCI education staff from diverse national backgrounds, ensuring quality, consistency, and child-centered delivery.
• Government & School Partnerships: Brokered and maintained working relationships with the Ministry of Education (MoE), public schools, and community schools to address children’s and teachers’ education and protection needs and strengthen school-level support systems.
• Capacity Building, Safeguarding & Quality: Delivered capacity-building for teachers, facilitators, partners, and SCI projects on classroom management, active learning, and positive discipline; ensured mainstreaming of SCI Child Safeguarding policies across all education activities.
• Reporting, Participation & Partnerships: Prepared donor situation, monthly, and quarterly reports and success stories; promoted student and parent participation through student unions and parent committees; and coordinated with partners (e.g., CRS) to expand education support for African children.

• Lesson Planning & Teaching Materials: Prepared and adapted teaching materials and lesson plans aligned with project objectives, ensuring engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Active Learning & Positive Discipline: Applied modern teaching methods, including active learning strategies and positive discipline, to promote participation, motivation, and a safe classroom environment.
