Dedicated to providing guests with the best experience possible, from both the kitchen and front of house, I work closely with my other team members and managers to ensure that the customer's needs are met. I am able to remember what each of my tables needs and get it to them in a timely manner, which can often be up to 8 tables at a time, since we have very large sections.
I started off in the kitchen, and as soon as I was able to, I started serving as well. In the kitchen, I work closely with servers and other kitchen staff to make sure food is correct and brought out in a timely manner, as well as other duties like cleaning, prep, and occasionally closing. As a server, my main duty is making sure the customers feel welcome and have an enjoyable experience in the restaurant. This includes taking their order, describing a menu item when asked and making suggestions, bringing their food to them, and confirming that everything is correct and satisfactory with their order multiple times. This position also requires a lot of cleaning and restocking. As a server, it is also important to have a ServSafe certification so ensure that alcohol is being served safely and responsibly.
I have taken piano lessons for over 5 years now. In this time, I was one of the winners of the Intermediate B division of the Minnesota Music Teacher's Association (MMTA) competition. I am also practicing for an upcoming MMTA competition in the Senior Young Artist division. In preparation for this, I had to pass a music theory level 5 exam through the MMTA.
