With 18 years of progressive experience at Super One Foods, I've
excelled with strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills. Proved to contribute to team success and achieve positive results. Ready to tackle new challenges and advance organizational objectives with dedication and enthusiasm.
During my 18 years at Super One I have learned and excelled in multiple departments. I am always willing and wanting to learn and experience more. In my position I need to be a well rounded employee.
I started at Kenwood as a Cashier in 2006. I was going to UMD at the time and wanted a job close to campus. I decided to take a semester off and I started to work as much as I could as a part-time employee.
I learned backup Bookkeeping. Counting drawers. Balancing the safe. Entering information into the computer for daily sales, cashier totals, House Charges, etc. Accuracy was a must.
I then went into the Scanning department while our head Scan Coordinator was on Maternity leave. I caught on quickly and took the lead while she was gone. I stayed in the Scanning department when she returned. I was in charge of the weekly ads. Proofreading by checking signs matched the print ad by verifying pricing and sizes were accurate. At this time I was also helping the Grocery department when I was not in Scanning.
I took over the Health & Beauty department. My knowledge of pricing from Scanning and merchandising from Grocery made this a fun and exciting transition. I was in charge of my own department. I managed inventory and ordered carefully and increased the sales and margin in that department. I was praised by Geno, who was the head of the GM department at the time.
I started helping more in the Grocery department with stocking and merchandising. I filled in while our Grocery Manager was working in Frozen Dairy for a few months. Shortly after that is when I got the opportunity to go to Lakeside as the Grocery Manager.
As the Grocery manager I had to adapt to a new store environment while bringing positive ideas that I had learned while at Kenwood. While at Lakeside I began doing scheduling and hiring.
I transferred to Superior Oaks Ave as the Grocery manager. This experience helped me learn and fine tune the organization of a bigger store. Dealing with more distributions and a larger backroom and sales floor.
I was offered the Assistant Store Manager position at the Cloquet location. During my time in Cloquet I learned a lot on the HR side of Management that one isn't exposed to as Grocery Manager. Trying to keep a positive morale and helping make employees feel safe and welcome at work. Motivate employees by setting the example of hard work and dedication. Getting to know employees so they feel valued and seen.
I transferred to Kenwood as the Assistant Store Manager. The most difficult part of this transfer was learning how to manage a smaller backroom and receiving very similar distributions as Cloquet.
