Corporal
United States Marine Corps
08.2009 - 08.2013
Upon the completion of a 3 month boot camp at Paris Island, South Carolina in 2009 I attended my Military Occupational School in Fort Lee, Virginia.
For the next 3 months I was trained to test, store, and dispense multiple different types of fuel.
During my duration at my training school I was promoted from a private(E-1) to a private first class(E-2) for outstanding performance of my duties.
Upon graduating I was in the top 15% of my class.
Once I graduated I was sent to Camp Pendleton, California to begin my enlistment.
In 2010 I was deployed to Afghanistan for a duration of 7 months.
During my time out of country my duties and responsibilities were to test, store, and dispense fuel, from a 100,000 gallon fuel site, to our supporting forces and the national locals.
It was also my duty to keep track of all fuel dispensed and all equipment that was used at any given time.
While I was there I was recognized, and awarded by the national locals and my own command for outstanding duties performed while I was deployed.
After my 7 month duration in country I returned to the states and was attached to a guard position for 3 months.
After approximately 1 month in that position I was promoted another two times from private first class (E-2) to lance corporal (E-3) and then to my final position of Corporal (E-4).
After receiving my promotion to corporal my duties increased tremendously.
I was in charge of making sure the surrounding areas were secure and it was my duty to report to any area that had any trouble from anyone in that given area.
Also drills were performed to test my readiness and alertness to make sure my security readiness was always outstanding and performed to standards.
After my 3 month duration I was returned to my command and was honorably discharged in 2013.
