This role has required me to learn how to merchandise product, set and build sales floor modelers, set features, and build endcaps. I currently run half of the store from toys to the garden center. I manage the top stock, order product that is running low for the shelves and features and maintain all of the shelves and plants in the garden center. I greatly assist the stockroom by giving direction and dropping pallets for OPD. I am currently in the process of gaining remodel experience, and have already assisted in the process of moving shelves, cleaning product, cleaning top steal, and setting new features accordingly.

This job required me to unload general merchandise trucks by running a manual line in under an hour with eight unloaders, organize freight coming off the trucks, unload frozen, dairy, meat, and produce trucks with power equipment in twenty minutes, and check with every vender or truck driver that checked into the store. I was required to run the stores Viz Pick metric, this required me to follow up with the departments, frozen, dairy, meat, and produce, while keeping track of my own Viz Pick associate in the backroom. I had to effectively manage my team of stockers, up to 30 associates throughout the day, making sure we stock the entire sales floor. Along with all my other tasks, I ensured my stock room was well kept, clean, and organized.

This role required me to manage the stockrooms inventory and order inventory that was running low. I would be expected to hand parts out to the floor and manage the production of products on the floor. Left position to seek opportunity in management in a more lucrative area.
